Christians CND’s Mission Statement

Believe that nuclear weapons are intrinsically evil, Christian CND works
Ecumenically to convince people of this and strive towards their abolition; we believe that this aim is attainable

Our campaigns our vision as people of faith-

  • We believe that the wholesale destruction threatened by these weapons make their possession and use an offence against God and humanity
  • We deplore the nuclear arms race and the blasphemous assumption on which it relies
  • We are challenged in our worship of God and our commitment to Jesus Christ by the existence and spread of nuclear weapons.
  • We trust in God not nuclear weapons.
  • We turn our lives against culture of peace and non violence.
  • We co-operate with all who want to work for the goal abolition of nuclear weapons
